How do you open a bottle of wine?
I’ve only had alcohol a couple of times but i’ve never had wine. Do i need a wine cork or something, whatever it’s called? Also, is Jacob’s Creek Merlot Vintage 2007 a good one?
That is an OK wine. To open it you will need a corkscrew of some kind. They come in all shapes, sizes, and prices. I would just get a standard bartender one with the spiral corkscrew and bottle opener. It is useful and practical.
To open the bottle, cut the foil off of the top to expose the cork. Then twist the corkscrew into the cork until you have gone about 3/4 of the way into the cork. Then, the corkscrew has a part that folds down onto the bottle to give you leverage when pulling out the cork. Its easy, so just pull up on the other side(without the bottle opener on it) to remove the cork.
