Is there a difference between “picatinny” rails and “weaver” style rails?
Picatinny rails are repeatable and dimensionally correct. In other words if you take your scope off and put it on in the same place with a picatinny it will be exactly the same.
Weaver rails are not always even and have more slop. They are also cheaper as there is less precision required for manufacturing.
