Which airsoft gun should I get for an AEG “sniper”?
If I want a gun to be a stationary sniper, which gun should I purchase in the $210 and below region? I have my eye on the AGM M16A4 and the A&K SPR MOD0. Whatever one I get I will still get a scope and bipod to make it a good sniper.
If you are going to be a stationary sniper, I would actually suggest using a bolt action sniper. More power, better accuracy, and more realism. Using an AEG for a sniper would more be in the role of a “moving” sniper. However if you are hellbent on getting one of those two, I would suggest getting the A&K. I find SPR’s to be more accurate. another good thing about a bolt action is it costs much less, sometimes even a $70 sniper can be a very good sniper. Ive witnessed multiple times where at a game they will only allow bolt action snipers because A. usually the FPS must be under 400 or 500, and B. Semi-auto snipers can be a bit “cheap”. you dont neccessarily have to make each shot count, you can just blast away until you finally hit your target. But its your choice. If you decide to go for the bolt action, I’d recommend an L96/MK96 variant. They are just generally better in my perspective. Hope this helps.
