If I have my gun in a case in my backseat, Is that considered concealed?
I have my unloaded shotgun in a case in the backseat of my truck, if I got pulled over would that be considered concealed?
The basic 50 state law or consensuses on legally transporting a firearm is unloaded, in a case, and in the trunk of the vehicle…in the case of a truck the back seat should work. You will find that some states are worse than others, example Illinois is very strict to the above ideal way of legally transporting a rifle but in my home state of Texas we’re allowed to carry an AK47 on a gun rack inside our trucks. I wouldn’t suggest it due to smash and grabs, just pointing out state laws very. Anyhow, I would check my state and local laws before acting on the advice of the internet.
