ariat crowne pro hurt…?

ok, so I just purchased the ariat crown pros (tall boots, zip) and i lovee the way they look…but oh my god!! they hurt so badd..now, I have broken in manyy other boots such as the heritage and the challenges, but these hurt, not only the foot part, but the bend in the back of the knee region. They are a little high right now, as theyre supposed to drop a half inch or so….but i was just wondering, are these boots painfully for everyone, or just mee???! Also, does anyone know a good procedure or method to break them in with, other then riding? lol .. thank youu!!! =D

This is normal. What you can do to save the back of your knee is use some heel lifts. They give you about a half inch of lift until the boot drops. You can get them most shoe places. Once the boot drops, then remove the heel lift. Another thing you can do to encourage the leather to soften and drop is rub a conditioner like oakwood conditioner into the leather. Really rub it in and wear the boot around. A few applications of the conditioner will soften it right up. But remember, apply it just to the areas that are tight. This works all the time for my clients. Do not dip them in water. It will break them right in BUT destroy the leather in the process.
